The Charles W. Chesnutt Association welcomes abstracts of no more than 300 words for presentation at two sessions on the work of Chesnutt at the 2023 ALA conference in Boston.

Subjects for submissions are open but may include one of the following:

• Teaching Chesnutt: new approaches and lesser known works
• Chesnutt  and the Law, including his interest in and mastery of stenography
• Chesnutt and economics
• Gender in/and the writings of Chesnutt 
• Interdisciplinary approaches to Chesnutt

Please email an abstract (of no more than 300 words) and a brief (1-2 page) CV by January 20, 2023, to program chair, Bill Hardwig, whardwig@utk.edu.
